Jeff Running attended the 4-H Blue Ribbon auction at the Aitkin County fair July 11th. The Blue Ribbon auction show cases the 4-H program for youth. Whether youth are building rockets, raising dairy cows, or writing musical plays, 4-H gives them the skills they need to succeed in life. 4-H is delivered throughout Minnesota in urban, suburban and rural communities. In 4-H, youth design and participate in their own programs and activities. This unique, learn-by-doing model teaches kids essential, transferrable skills that they'll use throughout their lives, such as problem solving, decision making, coping, communicating and responding to the needs of others. Security State Bank is proud to contribute to the 4-H program. And a special thanks to the Chute family for bringing their goats visiting the bank lobby in Aitkin pictured with Security State Bank staff.

Security State Bank of Aitkin wishes to thank its customer’s and staff for helping make Christmas merry for all Boys and Girls!
Operation Christmas is a program that collects toys and gifts for families in need during the holiday season. Security State Bank of Aitkin has been participating in this program for several years and this year was not any different. The employees and customers once again stepped up to the challenge by collecting toys to donate. The gifts go to children in the Aitkin area and Security State Bank of Aitkin is proud to be part of the community and take part in this worthy cause.

Security State Bank employee's are participating in the annual March of Dimes fund drive. We are helping to raise funds and post your name on a donation card in our bank lobby in Aitkin, Garrison or Grand Marais. Employees are walking in the March of Dimes walk for babies in Baxter Saturday May 4th. Stop in for details on how to help.
When you walk in March for Babies, you give hope to the more than half a million babies born too soon each year. The money you raise supports programs in your community that help moms have healthy, full-term pregnancies. And it funds research to find answers to the problems that threaten our babies. We’ve been walking since 1970 and have raised an incredible $2 billion to benefit all babies.
This year, more than 7 million people will join their family, friends and colleagues in 900 communities across the nation. Our volunteers and staff will encourage and support you in your efforts to raise awareness and funds. No matter if this is your first year or your 25th, you can expect the event to be fun, compelling and rewarding.
